RULES OF PLAY
Catch the Ace is a collaborative fundraiser for the Almonte General Hospital Foundation and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte. All proceeds from this lottery will be equally shared between both the Almonte General Hospital Foundation and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte. 50% of proceeds from this lottery will be issued to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte via cheque from the Almonte General Hospital Foundation, who are the lottery license holders.
Eligibility
Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace Raffle.
Ticket purchasers must be in Ontario at the time of purchase.
The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace Raffle:
· Almonte General Hospital Foundation staff and Board of Directors, as well as members of the Hospital Executive Team and Hospital Board of Directors
· Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte staff and Board of Directors
· Employees of registered gaming suppliers
· And members of the same household of each of the above.
Ticket Sales
All tickets must be purchased in the province of Ontario.
Catch the Ace
Tickets may be purchased online at catchtheacealmonte.ca, in person with Point-of-Sale (POS) machines at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte located on 100 Bridge St., Almonte, ON, K0A 1A0 and at the Almonte General Hospital Foundation office, 75 Spring St., Almonte, ON, K0A 1A0.
Tickets will be available immediately following the previous weekly draw.
The Catch the Ace Progressive Pot will start at $5,000.
Purchasers are sold a single ticket number, which is entered into the draw multiple times, increasing their chances to win. The amount of times the purchaser’s ticket number is entered into the draw is dependent on the bundle chosen.
Catch the Ace ticket prices are as follows:
· 5 chances for $10
· 40 chances for $20
· 200 chances for $50
· 1,000 chances for $100
Ticket purchasers will select a virtual envelope number from the remaining unopened envelopes available at the time of purchase. Each envelope contains a hidden playing card from a standard 52 card deck. The number of envelopes available for selection begins with 52 and declines by one each week that the envelope selected by the Weekly Prize winner reveals a playing card other than the Ace of Spades.
Each purchaser will select a single envelope. The selected envelope will be associated with all tickets included in the ticket order. Multiple envelopes may not be selected within a single ticket order.
There is no limit to the number of ticket numbers available.
All tickets will be delivered via email for online purchases and printed for in-person purchases. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they receive and retain their ticket(s).

Subscriptions
You have a chance to subscribe for automatic purchases for future monthly draws for the Catch the Ace Raffle only.
(i) To subscribe to purchase tickets, proceed through the checkout process. Before proceeding to check out, you will be given the option to subscribe to future weekly Catch the Ace draws. Select the price point you wish to subscribe to and continue to purchase your tickets. You will be subscribed for future weekly Catch the Ace draw using the payment method selected for your purchase.
(ii) Your subscription purchases will begin with the next draw.
(iii) You will be assigned the initial envelope selected during the first purchase for the duration of the subscription. If your envelope is selected during the draw process, you will be automatically assigned the next highest envelope remaining and sent an email with the new envelope selection. This email will be a Shipping Confirmation identifying a new envelope selection has been assigned to their subscription. – If you do not want to have an envelope automatically assigned, you will need to cancel your subscription and then manually select the envelope.
(iv) You can cancel your subscription at any time. To do this, go into your account and unsubscribe. You can access or create your account at any time through the Catch the Ace website.
(v) You can also unsubscribe by sending us an email containing the receipt of your ticket purchases. Make sure you send it from the email address you used to subscribe. Email sprescott@mrha.ca
(vi) If your method of payment is declined, the sale will not be completed, no tickets will be issued, and you will be automatically unsubscribed from your subscription. To re-subscribe, you will need to go through the subscription process again.
(vii) Your method of payment on file will only be charged when the new weekly draw opens and is triggered by the AGH-FVM Foundation. You will only be charged on the opening day of the weekly draw. If you decide to purchase more tickets, you can do so through the website and make another purchase.
(viii) An account is required for subscription management. The account is only created once the subscription is created. All payment methods will be available.
Draws, Prizes and Winners
Ticket sales will begin on February 4, 2026. Sales will conclude each Wednesday at 11:30a.m. at which time all qualified tickets will be confirmed. The official online website for ticket sales is www.catchtheacealmonte.ca. Tickets sold through the website are provided to the ticket holder via a valid email address. Tickets may also be sold via face-to-face sales with Point-of-Sale (POS) machines at various locations throughout the region.
A single ticket number will be selected each week by a Random Number Generation (RNG) program, from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. The draw will be electronically conducted from the Almonte General Hospital Foundation office, 75 Spring St., Almonte, ON, K0A 1A0 each Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.
Tickets sold through POS devices are provided to the ticket holder via printed ticket. The POS devices also provide an option for tickets to be emailed to the purchaser as long as the purchaser provides their correct email address.
A valid ticket is receipt and proof of purchase.
Ticket sales can be purchased by debit or credit card only. No cash or cheque purchases will be accepted.
All ticket sales are final at the time of purchase. No refunds will be issued for any ticket sales.
If a ticket which is purchased or issued is void, or deemed to be void, the Almonte General Hospital Foundation may replace the ticket with a new random ticket of the same denomination.
Only valid tickets are eligible for the draw. All ticket purchasers must provide the original ticket copy. No photocopies or picture copies of the ticket will be accepted.
All ticket purchasers must provide an email address, telephone number and a valid credit card/debit card to complete the purchase of their tickets.
Tickets can only be issued to the owner of the credit card/debit card and prizes must be claimed by the owner named on the credit card.
Tax receipts cannot be issued for ticket purchases.
Each weekly draw winner will receive a single cash prize equal to 20 percent of all ticket sales collected during the week. Following the weekly draw, the playing card within the envelope associated with the winning ticket order will be revealed.
If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals the Ace of Spades, the weekly draw winner will also receive the Catch the Ace Progressive Jackpot, consisting of 30 percent of all ticket sales collected over all weeks. Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace Raffle is then concluded.
If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals any playing card other than the Ace of Spades, 30 percent of the ticket sales for the week will be added to the Progressive Jackpot. All tickets from the previous week are then voided and ticket sales commence for the next weekly draw.
The winning ticket number will be posted on the Almonte General Hospital Foundation Facebook page @AGHFVM, on the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240, Almonte, Facebook page @Branch240, and on the CatchtheAceAlmonte.ca website, as well as at Branch 240, Royal Canadian Legion, Almonte, 100 Bridge St., Almonte, ON K0A 1A0 following each weekly draw, along with the weekly prize amount and the revealed playing card associated with the weekly winning ticket. Winners that bought their tickets online will also be notified by phone. Winners that bought their tickets in-person must contact the Almonte General Hospital Foundation and present the winning ticket for validation. All winners will receive their prize via cheque in Canadian funds.
The Almonte General Hospital Foundation reserves the right to satisfy itself as to the validity of any ticket that is presented as a winning ticket, by means of such authentication and validation tests, requirements, and procedures as it may from time to time determine, and to declare that a ticket which does not pass, meet, or fulfill such tests, requirements or procedures is void. Concurrently with a winning ticket being presented to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation (or being received by the Almonte General Hospital Foundation by mail), whether for the purpose of validation or for the purpose of claiming a prize, all right, title and interest in and to the ticket is thereby relinquished by the winner and property in the ticket passes to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation.
All prizes must be claimed within six months of the relevant draw unless otherwise specified by the Almonte General Hospital Foundation thereafter any unclaimed prizes must be secured or placed in safekeeping by the Almonte General Hospital Foundation for a period of six months from the date of the draw. If at the expiry of six months the prize has not been claimed, the prize monies will be donated by the Almonte General Hospital Foundation to a beneficiary approved in advance by the Registrar.
Almonte General Hospital Foundation may refuse to send or forward a prize to an address outside Ontario and will not send or forward a prize to an address in any jurisdiction where such sending or forwarding is prohibited by law.
Neither a prize (or portion thereof), nor any entitlement or payment relating to it, may be assigned, transferred, sold, loaned, leased, rented, pledged, mortgaged, or hypothecated, by any winner.
The Almonte General Hospital Foundation is not responsible for providing financial or tax advice.
The Almonte General Hospital Foundation will not award a prize for tickets which are void unless the Almonte General Hospital Foundation, in its discretion, deems it appropriate to do so. Tickets are void if lost, stolen, unissued, illegible, mutilated, damaged, altered, counterfeited or forged, miscut, misregistered, defective, misprinted, cancelled, produced in error and not recorded in the on-line system, incomplete, not paid for, destroyed or issued, acquired or presented, in, or upon, violation of these Rules, or the Game Conditions. Void tickets are the property of the Almonte General Hospital Foundation.
Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws to win or to claim their prize.
By participating in Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace, each winner consents the right for Almonte General Hospital Foundation to publish the name, place of residence, a recent photograph, and video content reflecting a true current appearance of the winner (without any claim for broadcasting, printing, royalty or other rights or compensation).[ba2]
General
By purchasing a ticket in the Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace Raffle, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. All inquiries regarding the conduct, chance of winning, prizing or procedures of lotteries are to be made to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation, prior to the purchase of a ticket.
All orders will be processed and fulfilled using the Canada Bank Note (CBN) raffle management platform. In the event of any discrepancy, the records of CBN shall be deemed correct and final. Almonte General Hospital Foundation is responsible for the conduct and management of the raffle. The liability of the licensee shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
Privacy
Almonte General Hospital Foundation respects the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of Almonte General Hospital Foundation, and ask for their support of our mission. If at any time you wish to be excluded from such contacts, call us at the Almonte General Hospital Foundation’s offices and we will accommodate your request.
